I play field hockey. It’s a cool sport, and Holland is pretty damn good at it, so it’s really popular here. But it’s also a very sexy sport. Here’s why!
.1 gorgeous people
In Holland, field hockey has always been a sport for the rich, like tennis or golf. It’s not entirely like that any more, but there’s still that sort of rich people vibe. And rich people tend to be successful people, and successful people tend to be hot, or at least make gorgeous babies. So I would say the average field hockey player (m/f) is hotter than the average world citizen. And hot people are sexy people.
.2 skirts
We wear skirts. Obviously, there’s shorts underneath, and you don’t get to see a thing when we fall down on the artificial turf, but it’s just the idea of people being able to peek under that’s sorta kinky. It sometimes feels like there’s a whole bunch of people watching the game from the sideline hoping for some ooooops look what I just showed thing.
.3 partay
I’m not sure if this is true for every other country that’s relatively good at field hockey, but in Holland, field hockey parties are notorious for being extravagant and crazy. Our parties involve a lot of booze, a lot of drunk people, a lot of random making out, and afterwards, a lot of gossiping about who ended up sleeping with who. I slept with a field hockey boy on more than one occasion, and some happened after one of those parties. There’s just this overall feeling when you’re standing amongst all those drunk, hot people, a feeling that makes you let go of just a few more limits than you usually do when you’re drunk. Field hockey parties are awesome!
.4 showering
We shower together. Maybe some of you wonder if we do, and how we do it, but it’s true. After every game, it’s 14-ish fit, pretty girls, getting rid of their sports clothes, getting fully naked, and standing next to each other for fifteen minutes or so. I know some girls don’t care. I know some girls who like girls have a hard time trying to pretend they don’t care. And I know I get juuuuuuust that tiny bit turned on when I get to shower with the girls. Also, it’s a great moment to check if your body still lives up to expectations, if your boobs are still looking okay, and if your shaving habits aren’t pathetically out of style.
.5 dirty talk
This one may well be true for every team sport, but I know it’s definitely true for our team: we talk about sex. A lot. Before every practice, before every game, at every party, everywhere. We tell stories about our weekend fun on Monday’s practice sessions. We discuss how well the boys are at going down while driving to our away games. We talk about solo techniques in the shower after a game. Some of us (including me) have even exchanged sex toys, and explained in detail how good the orgasms were. There’s just not too many secrets that we keep from each other – although, I have to admit, I like to cherry pick the stories. Gotta be some secrets left, right?
